Tunde Kelani Offers to Take Masterclass Sessions at Crescent University


 

The renowned filmmaker and Cinematographer, Tunde Kelani has offered to teach Masterclass Sessions at the

Crescent University, Abeokuta as part of his contributions to the growth of the institution.

 

This is in appreciation of the Award of Bola Ajibola  Community Service recently conferred on him and four others 

during the 16th Founders Day of the institution.

 

In a letter of appreciation personally signed by the popular cinematographer, Mr. Tunde Kelani, he expressed 

appreciation to the  management of the institution for the honour and as such pledged to always find a 

common ground where he can work to contribute meaningfully to the development of the University.

 

The letter read in part, 

" I wish to place on record my gratitude for the Bola Ajibola Community Service Award from your prestigious 

institution recently. I also wish to take this opportunity to thank the renowned propeietor, Prince Bola 

Ajibola and other principal officers of the University for the great honour. On my part, I shall be 

willing to contribute my expertise by holding Master Classes for the students, thereby contributing to the 

development of the University."

 

Tunde Kelani was among five  personalities conferred with  the 2022 Bola Ajibola Community Service Awards

 for their various contributions to community service and the society at large.

 

The awards were presented to mark the 16th Founder’s Day, which coincided with 88th birthday of the 

Founder/Proprietor of the academic institution.

 

Tunde Kelani born 26 February 1948, popularly known as TK, is a Nigerian filmmaker. 

 

In a career spanning more than four decades, TK specialises in producing movies that promote Nigeria's rich 

cultural heritage and have a root in documentation, archiving, education, entertainment and promotion of 

culture.

 

He is also known for his love of adaptation of literary material into movies as most of his works have followed

that style of filmmaking including Ko se Gbe, Oleku, Thunder Bolt, The Narrow Path, White Handkerchief,  

Maami and  Dazzling Mirage.
